Ramikon 5 (Ramipril 5mg) –
Composition : Each tablet contains 5mg of Ramipril.
Therapeutic Category: Antihypertensive (ACE Inhibitor)
Indications : Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
Management of heart failure
Prevention of stroke, heart attacks, and kidney problems in high-risk patients
Post-myocardial infarction therapy to improve survival.
Mechanism of Action : Ramipril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor that helps relax blood vessels, lowering blood pressure and improving blood flow. This reduces the strain on the heart and decreases the risk of cardiovascular events.
Dosage & Administration : The typical starting dose is 2.5mg to 5mg once daily, which may be adjusted based on patient response.
Can be taken with or without food.
Dose adjustments may be needed for patients with kidney impairment or elderly individuals.
Storage : Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
